This policy explains how Mediakim (Pty) Ltd ("Mediakim") uses cookies and similar technologies on portal.mediakim.co.za.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help a website work, remember your choices, and understand how it is used. We group them as essential, analytics, and marketing.
2. The cookies we use
- Essential (always on). Needed for the site to function — they keep you signed in, maintain your session, and protect security. The Platform cannot work properly without these, so they do not require consent.
- Analytics (cookieless). We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages are visited so we can improve the site. It is privacy-friendly, sets no cookies and does not identify you — so it runs without requiring consent.
- Marketing (opt-in). Used to measure and improve campaigns. These run only if you accept them.
3. Your choices
On your first visit you will see a cookie banner where you can accept or adjust your preferences. You can accept all, or choose which optional categories to allow. Essential cookies always remain on. Your preference is remembered for future visits, and you can change it at any time.
4. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may stop parts of the Platform from working (for example staying signed in).
5. Changes
We may update this policy as our tools change and will post the updated version with a new effective date.
